The saltwater crocodile is the most dangerous of all crocodile species.
It also holds the record for the largest crocodile: it can weigh up to one ton, the same as a small car.
While most crocodiles live in rivers and lakes, the saltwater crocodile is the only one that can adapt to both freshwater and the saltwater of the sea.
Besides the saltwater crocodile, there are a total of 25 other crocodile species in the world.
Examples include the Nile crocodile, the armored crocodile, the American crocodile, and the caiman.
