Its thick, scaly armor consists of several belts that encircle its entire body.
It looks quite cute, especially when it's nimbly running through the desert on its short legs.
It's probably found a tasty morsel with its sensitive nose.
Most of all, it loves to eat insects.
The armadillo can hold its breath for up to six minutes while it digs insects out of their underground hiding places! After that, we have to admit, it really deserves its meal.
